These pictures were once again donated by Stockport Mod Sqaud member Geoff Stott, they show the Baitings Dam Scooter hill climb in the late 1970s, basically the event consisted of racing your Scooter up the windy track which leads up from the dam itself, Geoff points out that the backrest was obviously in fashion at the time, i've always called them flipover backrests but have heard them called Bermudas, Sheffields, Bradfords, Cradles and a whole host of other names, the truth is out there, answers on a postcard to Time Marches......
Geoff is the main man once again, he has sent me these pictures of the Burnley and Pendle Scooter club at the Belle Vue Custom Show in 1976, once again fantastic stuff with a real nostalgia rating of 10, the last photo is of Geoffs GP and his early style of Scooter Chopper from 1978
