Scooters 94-96
By the end of 93 the final curtain was called on the Pickering S.C, and the remaining funds went behind the bar at the L.C.G.B Presentation night in Nottingham, soon after yours truly went to a Northern Soul night in Whitby and stopped 2 years, good night out eh...
For my sins i was tiring of the same resorts on the National Rallies and not knowing what haircut I would wake up with [see below] and started to attend more local rallies. funny thing is really that my enthusiasm for Scooters became more when i stopped doing the Nationals, and yes I did wake up for years later to check if my eyebrows were still there.
The photos below were taken at some of the early Darlington and Scunthorpe Rallies and I think show how low key the Scooter Scene was at that point.
Alex and Freddie from Whitby decide if Eddies bare legs should be banned from the North Yorkshire.
Another handful of pics from the time, only wish I had taken more,
There are many Scooter riding memories over the years, but my most vivid from this time was of me and my wife coming round Scarborough seafront on my lone GP 200 probably reminising of a time when the sea front would of been packed with Scooters, we just came round the bend onto the Marine drive to encounter around 50 genuine Hells Angels , who gave us the biggest cheer I have ever received, they   may also have been reminising about a time when the seafront was packed with the Scooterboys, Guess i will never know but still a good memory.
