LCGB 86-90
The LCGB run to Clitheroe or thereabouts, all I remember is that it was in the middle of nowhere at a pub called the CRAVEN HEIFER now try and find that with the terrible map the lcgb used to supply with the ticket, on a misfiring 6 volt direct lights Lambitsa in the dark,
Funnily enough it was a good event, even if the landlady did initially refuse to sell us any more beer when she reopened on the Saturday night as she obviously did'nt expect us to be still standing, eventually she saw pound signs or Kev walsh begged her into start serving the lads again, all with the exception of Mossy from the Doncaster Hunters as he was sporting two black eyes from the night before, 2 decades later and nothing has really changed....
Well somewhere near Derby anyhow, the venue in true 80s L.C.G.B style was in the middle of nowhere, and a top secret ticket job at that, I know one of our lads got lost on the way there and we did'nt see him till the next morning, well that was his story anyhow, seems a million miles away now, but these small scale rallies certainly forged some strong links between the clubs that attended them, many of which are still on the rally scene to this day.
