Hull and Distrct Rally 2008, as usual some lovely Scoots on display mostly of the Lambretta variety, perhaps a few familiar faces missing or leaving early this year due to Hull City playing at home, still it left plenty of bargains on the stalls how about a really tidy Italian GP200 for 2 Grand, seemed genuine and it was soon snapped up by some lucky punter, some nice Scoots in the custom show as well, all in all a good day out, will definately be back next year.
The L.C.G.B coast to coast rally, Robin Hoods Bay to ST Bees in Cumbria, absolutely top event even a self confessed 100% daytripper such as me dug my tent out and completed the ride taking in a ferry and he legendry Hardknock Pass, I was'nt phased going up the Mountain but used every swearword i've ever heard coming back down it, I think i may need to replace both brake cables one left Doctor Marten and one pair of underpants, top marks to the L.C.G.B now I can go back to being a daytripper...
Shaun and Timmy are the men to thank for these photos, they were taken at the last Y.S.A rideout of the year between the 2 well known Scooter towns of Doncaster and Barnsley, yours truly could'nt attend due to family commitments but according to the lads it was well attended and only marred by one of the lads getting a speeding ticket, wont say who due to the data protection act, but it was'nt Shaun.....
And finally for 2008 the Trade and Custom show at a very blustery Bridlington, a very well attended event with people from all over the country and to my suprise the even United States of America were represented by a guy called Miles {first pic} who had flown over and was lent a Scooter by Stuart from the Selby Moving Targets to ride to the event on, spent a few hours in the show and hats off to the organisers for dealing with so many people for little recognition, We ended up heading for home a bit earlier than expected due to the big dark rainclouds, mind you i was glad i did put my waterproofs on as the Scooter in front sprayed me with cow dung as he rode through it, next thing i do is buy him a big roadsweeper mudflap.
