Selby in June and gale force winds, good old British weather again, good turn out of Scoots and very well organised by the Selby and Castleford lads, now on with the pics.
The Y.S.A invasion of my old hometown ''Pickering,'' never thought I would see a mayor Rally held there, the venue is truly massive and easily fitted in the custom show and plentiful dealers stalls, some of whom had travelled great distances to set up, Saturday night was a bit Blurry for me but reading the forums this week it seems everyone had good time and would like to see it on next years calendar, top weekend apart from the friday night downpour and the fact that I spent monday night cleaning mud off my Scoot.
Never made it to the Darlington S.C event this year, but every cloud has a silver lining, as I took my family to the Whitby Regatta on the Sunday to find the Whitby S.C and the Teeside lads had a club stand alongside the vintage Motorcycles and cars, so I got my weekly dose of Scooters and you lot get a few pics, everyones happy,
The Cheeky Northern Monkeys S.C was an event that I always intend to go but it always clashes with something else, this year was no exception and the forecast was terrible but what does the weatherman know so off i headed West, straight in to bouncing rain and a major detour due to the A59 being closed , finally got to the Monkeys event , very well organised and an excellent venue, did'nt actually stop that long as there was another do to attend nearer home so a few pics before another soaking..
A couple of hours later and I'm heading North into the Howardian Hills, try saying that after a few pints, by now my clothes were waterlogged and was very glad i had opted for the Vespa for the journey as I think the Lambretta engine would of drowned in the now flooded roads, had a quick brew with the Woolybacks S.C then headed for home, what a day, would I do it again , ask me next week...
