These pictures wre taken at Bridlington arund 98/99ish afraid I did'nt write the year on the back so if your Scoots on there you will know if not just enjoy and take my word for it, in fact 2 may of been taken enroute to Scarborough... just enjoy the pics.
These photos were taken at the L.C.G.B coast to coast rallies of 1998 and 1999, the run was held between the NorthWest Coast seaside resort of Morecambe Bay to the North Yorkshire port of Whitby, always a good event and please do'nt adjust your computers as some of the photos were taken in amazing Technicolour whilst others were taken in mean and moody black and white.
Summer 1999 and I write off my beloved GP200, it was on a test ride after a tit for tat muck about with my mate , I'd put a pigs trotter in his toolbox so that I could rename him Potter Trotter and in revenge he duct taped my air filter and left me to find out why my engine would'nt run, anyhow tape found test drive in progress and I totally lost control of the Scoot and watched it somersalt down the road even snapping the engine out of the frame, The Scooter was then sold on as with another new baby in the house another rebuild would not have been a good idea and I spent the rest of the year riding a recently purchased T5 classic, and did'nt have to get the spanners out for the rest of that year.
Cleethorpes was a new rally for me and was quite a suprise addition to the same old Rally resorts, I had been to the town before to Allnighters and once for Fish and Chips after a trip to Beedspeed, but a National Rally would it cope? glad to say it was an excellent event and still popular on the Rally calender nearly a decade on.
The following pics were taken at a Rally just outside Scunthorpe, can't remember if it was L.C.G.B, Pathfinders/Silouettes or Hull who organised it but as usual there were some very tasty Lambrettas in attendance.
and just a few oddballs waifs and strays returning home from no doubt another drunken night out.
