1987 and at long last I have bought a decent 35mm camera, my pride and joy, now I can take some quality photos, but not for long as I get it nicked on a run to Rhyl a few months later, oh the 80's Anyhow first pics as usual pre season York.
Naturally to follow the York pic's there is once again the wet, overcast, dark, Knaresborough pics, I'm sure the only time it did'nt rain on this Sunday run was the year that it was snowing.... Will I be at the Knaresborough run this year? Course I will, it's traditional is'nt it.
Looking at the pic below, I think by 1987 the clean cut Mod look had certainly passed these two by.
Easter 1987 and it's Morecambe Bay, would love to tell you about the weekend but as I've said before we attended Morecambe so many times that I honestly can't remember which year we did what, so on with the photo's.
Hardly any pics from Scotland this year, we had a bad night run and we finally had to admit defeat and sleep in a village field as we were running out of petrol, on waking up the next morning one of the lads who will remain nameless went to see if the petrol station was open yet, it was'nt but he did return with a crate of milk for us all, soon to be joined by a highland policeman who informed us we had just nicked the villages supply of milk for the day, so it was pay him one English pound for each bottle or a day in the cells, finally made it to Girvan and just hit the pubs for a much needed pint, so here's the few snapshots of our merry milk robbers and friends.
